Seedance 2.5 vs 2.0 vs Fast vs Mini
Updated 2026-10-02
Seedance ships as a family. Over an API the main question is not "which is best" but "which is the cheapest variant that is good enough for this step of the pipeline."
Rule of thumb
- Mini — prompt exploration and bulk previews. Cheapest per second.
- Fast — iteration where turnaround matters more than the last bit of fidelity.
- 2.0 / 2.5 — final renders. 2.5 is the newest.
- 1.5 Pro — a low-cost older option for simple clips.
Check price per resolution tier
Seedance is priced per second per resolution. The pricing table lists, for each variant, the tier with the largest host-to-host spread and which provider is cheapest there.
